About

NATHALIE GAGNON

I am a mother and a sister and a healer. I am also a juggler of the many roles I navigate daily. I am a Speech Language Pathologist and  yoga teacher with 20 years of experience in the area of wellness, mindfulness and work life balance (hence the juggling). My career includes both hospital and educational settings as well as private practice.  I have extensive training in the areas of: yin and restorative yoga and education (preschool, school aged and adult populations). My passions have influenced my strong clinical focus on the area of growth mindset, resilience in the workplace and mindfulness as a way of being present and grounded in all aspects of living. I believe that communication is at the core of our ability to transform limiting thoughts and patterns into consciously choosing clarity, abundance and strength.

I have a Master’s Degree in Science in Human Communication Disorders from Dalhousie University and am the recipient of the prestigious Killam Scholarship.  I have a keen interest in the use of essential oils and studied with Dr. Penoel and Dr. Schnaubelt in France. I have studied yin yoga with Bernie Clark, Sarah Powers, and Biff Mithoefer.  Additionally, I create and lead workshops and retreats that encompass my knowledge of mindset, communication, yoga and essential oils for wellness. I am lit up by creating opportunities to bring multiple modalities of healing and mindfulness in a variety of settings.

Trees and Champagne

Trees and Champagne represents the dance between finding balance by spending time in nature and our celebration of those special moments that unfold daily. In essence how to we become present enough to bare witness to the magic of the everyday. During my level 1 Reiki training, I was meditating on the heart centre and a vivid image of a tree settled in the heart space. (In my experience- becoming the “listener” is far more insightful than “asking”). This image created an anchor within me.  Trees are powerful teachers. A tree is stable, firmly rooted and lives in the present moment.  Trees represent inner strength, resilience and patience.

Champagne is my Carpe Diem. Seize the day is my reminder to live in the moment and have fun.  Take that expensive crystal glass and use it every day! Enjoy a cup of tea without any distractions. Dig out that designer scarf out and display it and wear it. What lights you up? Maybe it is travel or spontaneous evenings with friends.  What would your life experience be if every day was a celebration? Surround yourself with people and things that fill your soul.
